About Me

Born & raised on the east coast of North Carolina and living in South Florida for most of my adult life, I have always been inspired by the ocean and the plants & animals on the coast. I was born into a family of artists - from tattoo artists, seamstresses, painters, chefs, authors, crocheters, painters & more - the women in my life inspire me more than anything. I grew up with the instinct & passion to create - graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Fine Arts and a concentration in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design. I was lucky enough to learn from some amazing instructors and met the most talented community of artists - who I still keep in touch with.

 

The Squid Shop was named after my childhood dog who we loved + miss so much
